Hahnemuhle Photorag Pearl
320gsm. 100% cotton. Unique. The inherent quality of rag paper with a beautiful quality, slightly textured pearl finish.
Canvas:
1440 dpi using a 10-colour pigment ink system, for smooth graduations, less bronzing, and an impressive colour range.
Printed, using the giclée method, on tight-weave bright white 400gsm cotton canvas with a uniform, non-cracking surface, prints are hand-stretched onto heavy duty 38mm-deep knotless solid kiln-dried fir stretcher bars from sustainable sources in Europe.
Prints come with built-in corner wedges that make it easy to tighten the canvas. They arrive ready to hang, backed with brown framing tape and a flat hanging system that keeps your canvas lying perfectly against the wall.
About this acrylic painting:
I have always had an interest in science and especially the universe.
I wanted to convey a different kind of feeling with this painting of a black hole pulling apart a star.
My aim was to capture the feeling of power from two of the universes great giants.
‘Tidal Disruption’ is an astronomical phenomenon that occurs when a star approaches sufficiently close to a super massive black hole and is pulled apart by the black holes tidal force, experiencing spaghettification.
